I alone plant, nurture, photograph, dig, divide, label, stock, package, and ship the products sold in this store. The following policies reflect the use of my valuable time and I hope they can be understood, valued, and respected as a reflection of all of the hard work that goes into sharing these wonderful plants and vintage treasures with you all.
WHEN YOU PURCHASE THROUGH MY ONLINE STORE, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING POLICIES:
*dahlia mania is real. Please be kind, reasonable, and patient. I am a single person operation and many of my varieties are limited in quantities offered. THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES ONCE AN ITEM IS IN YOUR CART THAT IT WILL NOT SELL OUT BEFORE YOU CHECK OUT.
*I am unable to ACCOMMODATE SPECIAL ORDERS OR REQUESTS TO RESERVE DAHLIA TUBERS.
*Dahlia tubers are sold as individual tubers with at least on eye and vary in size and shape. Some varieties have less conspicuous eyes. All tubers are presumed to be planted directly into the ground upon arrival. Sadly, I have no control over how tubers perform once placed in the ground, stored, or planted in other mediums (i.e. potted up for waking and taking cuttings).
*Once an order is placed it cannot be modified. I will combine shipping for those who have placed MULTIPLE orders. Any additional shipping payment over what was required to ship the package will be refunded minus $2 per additional order (i.e. 2 combined orders will be charged $2). Refunds will be processed when orders are shipped.
*Dahlia tubers and other living and perishable items will be shipped separately from vintage treasures unless ordered during the appropriate season for shipping together. I will combine shipping to the best of my ability but here are no guarantees that orders will be combined into one box. The safety of the items is my number one priority and shipments will reflect this.
Tuber failure during winter storage can occur. You will be contacted directly if a variety in your order has been compromised. The option of refund, OR substitution of tuber will be provided for current season. If you request a refund, only the affected tuber will be refunded, your remaining order will be shipped. I am flexible with order cancellations if you feel that the loss of one item does not justify the shipping cost for the remainder of that order, so please reach out and we can find a solution.
*dahlia tubers will begin shipping mid March and continue through may 15th or when danger of frost and freezing temperatures have past for your region. Neat Flower farm is not responsible for lost or stolen packages, or damages sustained to your package or its contents during shipping.
*Iris rhizomes will ship mid July to be planted immediately to ensure they get a great start before winter arrives.
*once your package arrives please inspect it thoroughly and contact me as soon as possible with any issues that could be resolved on my end. Neat Flower Farm inspects all tubers for disease and pests prior to shipment to the best of our ability, however Neat Flower Farm cannot be held liable for any disease or pest that may appear. Please contact if you suspect any issues with your tubers prior to planting.
Photographs are required for proof of refund for product quality issues. Dahlia tubers are labeled with abbreviated letters reflecting the varieties ordered which will be listed on the packing slip enclosed.
*Order cancellations requested by the customer will be refunded minus a 5% restocking fee. Orders cannot be cancelled once the order has shipped. Sadly, I do not accept returns.
*Please note that choosing local pick up option during checkout is for those picking up locally in Portland, Oregon. Choosing this option is not for combining orders or avoiding shipping costs.
